Investigation in Akiak

A Tribal Police Officer contacted Alaska State Trooper dispatch on June 11, 2022 at about 4am, to report a death in the Community of Akiak. The deceased male, Nelson Jackson, 21 years old of Akiak, was located outside a residence, non-responsive. Resuscitation was attempted but was unsuccessful. The State Medical Examiner has been notified and requested the body be sent in for an autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
