An assembly for the Akiachak February Students of the Month was held on Wednesday, March 6 in the school gym. Recognition was given with certificates for each student. The celebration encompassed students from each grade as well as post-congratulations to the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams.
Present were the student body, the teachers and paraprofessionals and parents.
The names of February Students of the Month are as follows:
Kindergarten: Keilani Wassilie and Agnes Jo Charles; 1st grade: Tiffany Charles and Sadie Ayapan; 2nd grade: Mikale Lomack; 3rd grade: Helena Smith; 4th grade: Richard Alexie; 5th grade: Stanton Ekamarak; 6th grade: Kayleena Jackson; 7th grade: Walter Pasitnak; 8th grade: Mackenzie Egoak; 9th grade: Robbie Samson; 10th grade: Amanda Charles; 11th grade: Talan Charles; and 12th grade, Brenan Paine.
As we enter the fourth quarter, the time change, the deep snow, and bright sun and cold temperatures, the students are excited to see the end of the school year in sight. Graduation and the last day of school are May 3. Following graduation, the seniors will be traveling to Los Angeles, with the funds they have raised throughout the school year.
