The Bethel Lady Warriors wrestled in Fairbanks at the Hutchinson Meltdown this past weekend. Winning gold medals were Isabel Lieb (132 lbs.) and Riley Boney (138 lbs.). Jordan Klejka placed third in the 120 lbs. division and Ashlynn Lonewolf also won a bronze medal in the 126 lbs. bracket.
Also wrestling for BRHS were Justine Erickson-Bradney, Emilie Madson, and Iceis Harpak.
Lieb defeated Kaytlin McAnellay of Soldotna High School by fall 3:51 in the first place match. Boney defeated Brooke Wood of Lathrop, Hailey Loose of Hutchinson, and Tristin Byrd of Soldotna to win in her division.
Klejka won by fall over Abigail Wohlford of West Valley at 2:24 to win the bronze. Lonewolf also won by fall over Kaydance Burkeen of Eielson at 1:21 for her bronze medal.
Bethel Lady Warriors placed third overall.
