Position: BUSINESS MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The business manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of Nunapitchuk Limited and its affiliated business activities (e.g. Duplex, 8-plex, Nunapitchuk Fuel Service, Nunapitchuk Limited Store/Hardware Store, Capital Investments, etc.) The manager is responsible for its property accountability, payroll authorization, timely filing of all taxes, keeping liability insurance up to date. Manager is also responsible for the preliminary planning, organization, direction and control of all business activities pertaining to Nunapitchuk Limited’s business activities. Proposes to the board of directors policies, goals, budget and selection of staff, and any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the board of directors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. SUPERVISION: Supervises all operations and personnel of the Corporation.

2. PAYROLL & TAXES: Approves all payroll timesheets, payroll disbursement and payroll taxes deposited on a semi-monthly basis. Assures timely filing of Payroll Tax documentation (i.e. Form 941 and 940, etc.)

3. PAYABLES & RECEIVABLES: Reviews and approves all payables due to vendors, directly supervises and assists the bookkeeper and Head Cashier on all collections of the Accounts Receivables on each of the corporation’s business activities (Rentals, 8-Plex, Fuel Services, and General Store.)

4. FINACIAL & PROPERTY ACCOUNTABILITY: Responsible for the financial and physical property accountability of the corporation. Supervises each department on the proper operation, maintenance and inventory of all physical assets of the corporation.

5. CORRESPONDENCE, BOOKKEEPING & PERSONAL RECORD KEEPING: Receives and directs all incoming and outgoing correspondence. Supervises the bookkeeper in conjunction with the Head Cashier on matters which require financial bookkeeping and record retention. Directly supervises the bookkeeper on the corporate filing system, correspondence and personal files.

6. PERSONAL OFFICE DUTIES: Insures all employees of the corporation are briefed on and familiar with current personnel policies. Interview all potential employees on receipt of application for position.

7. REPORTS TO THE BOARD: Reports to the Board of Directors on matters which requires Board approval, assignments issues by board, the current corporation and financial status.

8. GENERAL LIABILITY & INSURANCE: Periodic review and correction of all general liability and insurance needs of the Corporation, if any. Verifies that all insurance coverage is current and appropriate.

QUALIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY:

1. Nunapitchuk Limited Shareholder preferred but not mandatory.

2. Business related degree or (3) three years management experience desired.

3. Minimum qualification of a High Scholl Graduate or General Education Diploma (G.E.D.) required.

4. Central Yupik speaker and knowledge of Modern Orthography writing system preferred but not mandatory.

STARTING SALARY:

1. Depending on Experience (D.O.E.)

2. 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.

The Native Village of Napaimute is seeking proposals for the purchase one New Steel or Aluminum Shallow Draft Flat Deck Landing Barge, F.O.B Port of Bethel, or Entrance Buoy to the Kuskokwim River, Alaska – RFP#2022-01.

Proposals must be received by the Napaimute Bethel Office at PO Box 1301 Bethel, AK 99559-1301 no later than 5:00 p.m., local time, March 23, 2022. Any proposal received later than the specified time and date will NOT be accepted or considered. No facsimile or telephone proposals will be accepted. Kashunamiut School District is accepting bids for purchase of bulk fuel – #1 heating oil and glycol for Chevak K-12 school. Chevak School is located in remote rural Alaska and not accessible by road. Notice of Intent to Award Pilot Station Old BIA Elementary School Excess Property

Under the authority of AS 14.07.030(a)(4) and (6) and the procedures and precedence order established by 4 AAC 31.085, the Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) is disposing of real property known as the Pilot Station BIA Elementary School site and related improvements on Lot 7, USS 4011, Bethel Recording District. Proposed disposal will occur via quitclaim deed to the City of Pilot Station.

Property is subject to all existing rights, including a deed reversion clause that property must be used for public purpose and existing building uses by the Pilot Station Traditional Council and residential housing.

Notice under 4 AAC 31.085(b) to state agencies that may have need of the property is occurring in conjunction with this notice of intent to award. A state agency with need has priority for receipt of this excess property and should contact DEED by April 15, 2022.
