The Lower Kuskokwim District School Board voted to approve indoor and outdoor athletic activity practices and in and out of region travel for competition. The decision took place during the Board’s April 29th, 2021 regular meeting. Sports “may commence with full school populations within the established LKSD practice and travel mitigation protocols with approval from the school’s ASB (advisory school board) for practice; event participation; and travel and local Tribal Council to host events and travel as amended.” The motion was amended to remove the part “per YKHC/CDC recommendations”. The motion carried 6-0.
