The Bethel Warrior Wrestling team hosted an exciting weekend of wrestling at the Warrior Scramble this past weekend. A total of 131 high school wrestlers participated coming from 16 teams. This weekend featured a total of 350 matches.
Four Outstanding Wrestlers were named during the event, voted by the coaches – two for the boys and two for the girls. They are: Gusty Tunguing IV of Koliganek for the boys weight classes from 103-138 and Graelin Chaney from Dillingham for the boys weight classes from 145-285.
The Outstanding Wrestlers were Laney Green from Chevak for the weight classes 100-132 and Isabel Lieb from Bethel Regional High School for the weight classes 138-235. No team scores were kept as it was a scramble format.
