Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending January 11
• On 1-5-19 at 12:17 p.m. medics responded to Ridgecrest Drive for the report of a person who had fallen off a ladder. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 1-5-19 at 2:46 p.m. medics responded to Paul John Street for the report of a person bleeding from the head. Patient was assessed and refused treatment and transport to the hospital.
• On 1-5-19 at 8:52 p.m. medics responded to Akakeek Street for the report of a person having a heart attack. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 1-6-19 at 12:16 a.m. medics responded to the Sobering Center for the report of a person with a toothache. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 1-6-19 at 1:19 a.m. medics responded to Isaac Hawk for the report of a person coughing up blood. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 1-6-19 at 3:51 p.m. firefighters responded to the City Shop for a report of black smoke coming from the building. Firefighters checked the building found no smoke or fire. The smoke reported was from the waste oil burner that heats the building firefighters then cleared.
• On 1-8-19 at 2:03 p.m. Medics responded to Watson’s corner for the report of an unresponsive person. The patient was assessed, and released AMA.
• On 1-8-19 at 5:18 p.m. Firefighters responded to Akakeek St. for the report of an oven fire. Firefighters observed no smoke, and no flames. The cause of the fire was determined as a pot inside oven during self-cleaning of oven.
• On 1-9-19 at 6:18 p.m. firefighters responded to the area of Kusko Court for the report of a smoke smell in a house. Firefighters found no source of smoke other than a boiler needing service, cleared scene and returned to quarters.
• On 1-9-19 at 8:42 p.m. medics responded to Hawaiian Inn for the report of a person outside needing an ambulance. Patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
• On 1-9-19 at 9:00p.m. medics responded to the Hostel for the report of an intoxicated person. Patient was transported to the sobering center by BPD Officers.
• On 1-9-19 at 11:25 p.m. medics responded to the area of Ptarmigan Street for the report of a chimney fire. Fire fighters arrived to find no fire showing, chimney fire had been extinguished by home owner. Firefighters checked for extension into the house found none cleared scene and returned to quarters.
• On 1-10-19 at 3:58 am. Firefighters responded to the BNC Complex for the report of smoke alarms going off. Firefighters made entry into building found no smoke or fire reset fire alarm cleared scene and returned to quarters.
