Lori Strickler, MMC, City Clerk for the City of Bethel, was elected as First Vice President of the Alaska Association of Municipal Clerks (AAMC) on December 5, 2023, at the AAMC annual meeting held in Anchorage, Alaska. This will lead to her presidency in December 2024.
AAMC was incorporated in 1965 and has a present membership of over 100 clerks throughout the State of Alaska. The organization works to provide continuing education, to promote professionalism in the office of the municipal clerk, to foster relationships among clerks throughout the state, and to support sound local government.
Ms. Strickler earned her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation in 2009 and went on to obtain her Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) certification in 2021. She has served on various AAMC committees over the years, and the AAMC greatly values her membership and participation.
