SB 21
I’d like to address last weeks Op-ed by Senator James Kaufman.
It’s a third of a page of word salad, with liquid cow manure dressing, promoting his proposed SB 21, which is supposedly everything, but describing nothing.
SB 21 is a whole lot of voodoo theater, without a single hint of what it costs to attend the show about projected unfunded legislative programs, that Kaufman is still hiding.
Me thinks, he can’t find the rabbit to pull out of the hat.
Let me give you a few more unfunded legislate dreams coming up in the session. I’m not arguing the merits of whether they’re good or bad … but like Kaufman’s SB 21 … SHOW ME THE MONEY, BESIDES OUR PFD.
1. $10 Billion in state gas line that Enstar Electric says needs a $8 billion State Grant. (Ohh, that’s also 8 years straight of the last of the PFD funding left to steal.)
2. A permanent increase to Base Student Allocation from Union School Teacher Senator Jesse Bjorkman, cause huge one time allocations aren’t enough, as long as there’s a Billion a year to steal.
3. AND … wait for the drum roll … YUP, YOU GUESSED IT, TAX BREAKS FOR COOK INLET OIL AND GAS PRODUCERS…
The last three are also from Republicans. Just like the Democrats, nobody ever hints at where the funding is coming from.
You should know by now that the funding is coming from the theft of the PFD, which is hugely disproportionate to the lower and middle income tax brackets.
Remember the rich never tax themselves, at least without a suitcase full of loopholes.
