City Council to consider amending animal impound fees and rates

Bethel’s Public Safety and Transportation Commission is recommending to the city council that they consider changing the initial impound fee for impounded pets from $25 to $50 for the first day, and the additional days to change from $20 to $25.

The Public Safety and Transportation Commission passed this recommendation unanimously on April 5th, 2023.

Proposed Ordinance 23-10 would amend and adopt fees and charges for the City of Bethel, if passed. The ordinance was introduced by council member Patrick Snow, the council rep to the Public Safety and Transportation Commission.

Public hearing for this issue will be held on June 13th, 2023 during council’s regular meeting.
