Congratulations to the Scammon Bay Eagles and Scammon Bay Lady Eagles on winning the Yukon Delta Conference state qualifying tournament. The tournament was hosted by the St. Mary’s Eagles, February 28 – March 2nd, 2024. Scammon Bay All Stars for the girls are April Uttereyuk-MVP, Daisy Tunutmoak, and Weslyn Rivers. For the boys it is Stewie Sundown-MVP, Charlie Kaganak, and Josiah Sundown. The Scammon Bay Eagles are the #1 top ranked boys 1A team in the state.
The Hooper Bay Warriors and Lady Warriors also won the 2A Western Conference against the Chevak Comets in a best out of three games tournament and will be traveling to the state basketball finals on March 14, 2024, congratulations!
