Congratulations to Kiss My Ace, sponsored by Kusko Kush, for taking home the GOLD and regaining their title as the reigning B.V.E.S.A. Mud Volleyball Champions! This gives KMA their 4th Championship title in 5 years.

Standing in the way were the 2022 defending champions, Hit Faced, sponsored by Stevo’s Rentals and led by Co-Captains Kristine Guinn and Jessica Laraux. Hit Faced came into the bracket as the #2 seed and were able to defeat Kiss My Ace early in the tournament sending them into consolation and forcing KMA to beat them not once, but twice, in the championship match-up to regain their title. Both games were extremely close with KMA only winning by a few points each match.

Run VLB, sponsored by Alaska Commercial Co. and led by Team, Captain Andrew Gonzales, took 3rd place defeating “Wicked Sets”, in a close and somewhat controversial match to secure the Bronze for a second straight year.

Congratulations to all of you on your accomplishment and yet another amazing and successful mud vball tourney!

B.V.E.S.A would also like to thank The Delta Discovery and Alaska Commercial Co. for their continued support, KYUK, Uncommon Pizza, Grant Aviation, and of course the City of Bethel, especially the guys down at the Port, for all their help every year getting the mud pit filled.

Can’t wait to do it again next year with hopefully a little warmer weather! If you played in the tournament and had fun we hope you make it back next year and try to bring a friend. Our hope is to make this a great community friendly event continue to grow and is something that EVERYONE looks forward to each year!
