Game one between the Bethel Warrior varsity boys and the Kotzebue Huskies ended in a score of 80-41 with the Warriors coming out on top. The first game was played on Saturday night. The Huskies had to spend the night in Anchorage after being weathered out due to a blizzard on Friday evening in Bethel.
Clevon Constantine scored 20 points which included one 3 pointer. Other Warriors posting double-digits included John Fredericks with 16, Darrell Garrison with 12 and Jamin Crow with 10.
Kotzebue’s captain Frank Sheldon scored 19 points, with 9 coming via 3-point shots. Henry Sherman scored 8.
Nobody fouled out during Saturday’s game which took place just after Senior Night for the Warrior boys and the Bethel cheer team.
Sunday’s game took place at 11am. The Warriors won 70-28. Constantine posted a high score of 18 points. Ray Daniel had 13 and Darrell Garrison finished with 11. Hunter Crace put in three 3-pointers in the second half.
Mikey Hensley also had two 3-pointers for Kotzebue. He had the team high score of 8. His teammate Kasyn Hill posted 6.
