The City of Bethel Manager Pete Williams has announced his upcoming resignation. His letter was provided to the Bethel City Council and the item is on their April 11th, 2023 regular council meeting agenda.
“Due to concerns regarding my family, I’ve decided to retire towards the end of June. The exact date, I suppose, would be July 1, 2023. Due to the logistics of moving out of town, maybe June 26. I’ll work out the details by June 1,” wrote Williams in the letter dated March 29th, 2023 to council.
City Council will be considering Action Memorandum 23-06 to authorize the City Clerk’s Office to initiate and organize the recruitment process for the city manager position.
