The 21st annual Bethel Half Marathon for 2023 is in the books, congratulations to all the runners, walkers, bikers, and relayers. Coming in first for the ladies was Elizabeth Lapointe of Montreal, Canada. She finished the race in 1:55:50. On the men’s side Chase DeLong of Soldotna won with a time of 1:53:50. The race route took runners/walkers/bikers on a diverse tour of Bethel starting at the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center parking lot, onto the highway and roads, through the sandpit, and along the scenic river trail.
