The Alaska State Troopers attempted a traffic stop of an ATV on Geist Road near the Parks Highway in Fairbanks on August 28, 2021, at approximately 1635 hours. The operator, 33-year-old Fairbanks resident Stephen Clark, failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Troopers ended the pursuit due to Clark’s dangerous driving and conditions. Later Troopers located Clark on foot in the area of Chena Ridge Road and Chena Pump Road. Clark fled from Troopers on foot into the woods. AST K9 Lenox assisted with tracking Clark in the wood line, Clark was apprehended by K9 Lenox. Clark was transported to a Fairbanks area hospital to receive medical care and clearance. After being cleared by the hospital Clark was remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of felony eluding and arrest warrants.
