Calista Corporation Shareholders win 2024 Regular Early Bird Proxy Prizes

Nearly 11,000 Shareholders Eligible for Remaining Prize Drawings.

Seven Calista (cha-LIS-tah) Corporation Shareholders are winners of regular Early Bird proxy prizes in the 2024 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The prizes are randomly drawn by Sramek Hightower, a certified public accounting firm in Anchorage that serves as the Inspector of Elections.

Approximately 10,700 Shareholders who voted online by 5 p.m. on May 24 qualified for the regular Early Bird prizes and were entered in all remaining prize drawings. The winners are:

• $10,000 Prize – Sean T. Ward (Aniak)

• $2,500 Prize – Jo Ann Evans (Bethel)

• $1,000 Prize –

Matthew A. Kristovich (Fairbanks), Shawn P. Pattison (Anchorage), Bryant L. Akaran (Kotlik), James Evans (Bethel), Lorraine J. Brown (Eek)

About 3 in 4 Elders who have voted did so online. Nearly 7 in 10 voters finished in less than 3 minutes.

The deadline to qualify for Regular Proxy Prizes is 5 p.m. Alaska Daylight Time on Monday, June 3. All valid paper and online proxies physically received by this deadline qualify. There are 10 prizes totaling $17,000.

“Over half of eligible Calista voters this year are under the age of 40, so offering digital options is important,” said Thom Aparuk Leonard, vice president of corporate affairs. “We designed voting at www.CalistaVote.com to be easily done with a smartphone in the Y-K Region.”

Proxy prizes are only awarded if enough Shareholders vote and quorum is reached. This makes the Annual Meeting valid. Learn more at www.CalistaCorp.com/AnnualMeeting.
