Ourea Busk runs season best ahead of state championships.

The Unalakleet Wolfpack Cross Country team delivered strong performances at Bartlett High School, the site of the upcoming state championships in three weeks. Junior Ourea Busk ran a season-best time of 20:16, finishing 11th out of 129 runners in a competitive field.

Freshman Isabella Eller set a personal record (PR) with a time of 22:02, earning 40th place.

Senior Cedar Busk crossed the line with a time of 27:15, while Junior Ayuu Roesch finished in 28:20, rounding out the team’s solid efforts.

Next weekend, the Wolfpack will host the QAMUUQHIN HILL TRAILS race, renowned as one of Alaska’s most challenging cross-country courses. Teams from Elim, Brevig, White Mountain, Shaktoolik, and Teller will compete. This will be the final regular season meet before the Bering Strait School District (BSSD) Conference meet in Golovin the following weekend.

With the state championships just weeks away, the Unalakleet Wolfpack is gearing up for an exciting finish to the season.
