On Wednesday November 6, I was racially discriminated by an employee at Bethel Alaska Commercial Company. Person made assumption that we were intoxicated and told us we could not enter the store. Trying to explain how sober I was but she wouldn’t hear me out. We had to exit the store before she threatened to call Bethel PD as she’s done to other native people. I’ve seen her say it to sober people. To her race nationality she is so very kind. I’ve e-mailed the corporate office and have yet to wait for his investigation on what will happen. It’s happened too long at that store.
Yes I’m native but she can’t assume we all drink. There will always be people to come in drunk, stealing and causing ruckus. Most likely get a slap on the wrist.
Update. Talked with him yesterday, Friday. I was right. Slap on the wrist is what she gets and my day to day is forever changed all because I, and my daughter, were assumed drunk couldn’t enter Alaska Commercial Co. No use talking to managers, she’s still employed there. As long as she’s employed there I no longer enter the store.

Sullivan Statement on 2024 Presidential and Senate Election Results
