A Chitna area resident contacted Alaska State Troopers in Glennallen and reported locating a deceased male on April 19, 2021, at approximately 1015 hours. Troopers and a VPSO responded to the scene. The body was located near the wood line, approximately 70 yards from where Ian Lutz’s vehicle went into a ditch. The remains were sent to the SME’s office for positive identification. On 4/21 the deceased was positively identified as 34-year-old Anchorage resident Ian Lutz who was reported missing on February 2, 2021. A scene investigation was conducted, and no signs of foul play were identified. Next of kin have been notified.
