The Pinky’s Park Cleanup effort on June 2 was a success! “More than 80 people volunteered to clean up the park,” wrote Michelle DeWitt of Bethel Community Services Foundation. “We had hot dogs and buns donated by Swanson’s, a grill donated by the Lion’s Club, and a canoe for cleaning up the slough donated by Kuskokwim Backwater Approach. The City Public Works department, Bethel 4-H and BCSF provided staff and materials support and a couple members of the Parks, Rec, Health and Safety Center committee volunteered to help plan and attended as well.”
