Moses O. Tobeluk

Moe was born on June 12, 1951 to John Toopetlook Sr. and Helena Azzerella of Nunapitchuk. Moe was survived by his wife Martha of 47 years, together with their children; Willie, Eliza, Gregory & Nicole, Matushka Olga & Fr. Anders, John & Esther. His grandchildren Matushka Tamara & Fr. Michael, Omri, Delores, Chantel, Henry, Jason, Eric, Christina, Wassillie, Hailey, Evan, Courtney, Peter, Samuel, Koby, Justina, Nikolai, Evgenia, Vanya, Shaden, John Jr., Alyssa, Alma, Sean, Amy, Kris, Isabelle, Junior, Liam & Zoe.

His brothers and sisters; Arlene, Nicholai, John, Debbie, Carl, Bernice, Jack, and Evelyn. Mildred Alexie, Mary Brink, Robert & Anna Brink, Moses & Katie, Dwayne, Sophia Sergie, Esther & Mike Mojin, Anna Brink, Gregory & Sherry Brink, Barbara & Max Evan, Herbert & Charlene Brink Jr., Elizabeth & Jesse Charles. Numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews among them; Jacob’s kids Alice, Sharon & Wassillie, Jacob Jr & Patricia, Adrian & Alexandria, and Alisha, Elena’s kids; Michelle, John & Jadelyn and Allison, Carl’s kids; Jerome & Josephine, Vincent, Cameron & Wassillene, Carlson, Carlynn, Cassaundra, Alexz, Sophie’s kids; Derek, and Helen, John’s kids; Inuli, Usi, Ulgina.

Moe was an alcohol counselor for 25 years, retired army, police officer, I.C.W.A. worker, subsistence gatherer and he loved everyone, anyone was welcome to stay at his house from different walks of life. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

He is proceeded in death by his parents John Toopetlook Sr., and Helena Azzerella, his father and mother in law Herbert & Elena Brink. His brothers and sisters and brother in laws; Jacob Tobeluk Sr., Henry, George “Melvin”, Franklin Brink, Mitred Archpriest Phillip, Anna Tobeluk, Elena Pensgaurd, Sophie Roehl, and Charlene Tobeluk, uncles & aunts; Sinka & Jeannie Toopetlook, Jospeh & Florence Toopetlook, Wassillie “Unc” Toopetlook, grandma Anna Gilman, his nephews, William “Bill” Smith, Christopher “Alek”Brink, Jaden Evan, nieces; Sandra Roehl, Katya Evan. His grandchildren Melanie & Anna, his children Olga, Paula and Baby Boy Tobeluk.

The family sends out their heartfelt gratitude to:

A.N.M.C. hospital, Alaska Regional, Y.K.H.C. hospital, and Nunapitchuk Clinic staff for taking good care of dad. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, while dad fought tirelessly with his stage 4b lung cancer. Special thanks to: Wassillie Pleasant, Eli Wassillie, and Nunap IRA, Orthodox Sisterhood and Nunap Corporation for reaching out and offering help. Oscar Benn for driving him home from the airport to his house. Roy Enoch thank you so much for commuting back and forth driving family from Nunap to Bethel and Bethel to Nunap so many countless times. Lucy Enoch for helping out and giving your time and heart to be with us and helping out with the feasts. Those who helped dig the grave and buried dad we thank everyone. Gregory Brink, Omri Tobeluk, Nathan Andrew, Moses Brink and Herbert Brink Jr. for the beautiful coffin and cross. Those who kept us in your thoughts and prayers, those who reached out with phone, text, brought food, sheltered us while he was sick and after his passing, those who fed us, sent donations whether by time, labor preparations, financially or with essentials during that time. Fr. Nicholai Larson for giving him his last rites and communion before he was called home, and for coming every day to pray for him. Fr. Nicholai, Fr. Anders, Fr. Michael Trefon, Fr.
