Moose attack in Homer

Alaska State Troopers received a report on May 19, 2024, at 11:52 AM, of an adult male who was attacked by a cow moose in Homer. The cow moose charged two men, kicking one of them. Medics arrived on the scene and declared the victim deceased. Alaska State Troopers and Alaska Wildlife Troopers from Anchor Point responded to the scene. The cow moose has since left the area. The investigation is ongoing.
