Misconduct involving a controlled substance

Alaska State Troopers contacted Kaylena Charlie, age 23 of Minto, AK, and Lethearen Jimmie, age 20 of Fairbanks, AK, smoking THC (marijuana) concentrates at the front door of the Nenana School (with “No Smoking” signs posted) during a High School Basketball Tournament. The tournament involved 8 High Schools with youth and children present on January 31, 2019 at 1911 hours. Investigation revealed Charlie was the Minto High School girls’ basketball coach and decided to smoke the THC concentrate between games with her friend Jimmie. Both Charlie and Jimmie were arrested for 3rd Degree Misconduct Involving Controlled Substances and remanded to the Fairbanks Correctional Center and held without bail.
