Bethel Police Communications received a report of a possible homicide inside a residence in the 400 block of Owl Street on 02/07/2022 at approximately 0530 hours. Police officers and fire medics responded to the scene. BPD officers found Ian Chase Matthew Makaily, 21 years old, deceased from a traumatic injury. BPD investigators have secured the residence, obtained a search warrant, and have asked for the DPS Crime Lab to assist in processing the scene with our staff.
Joshua Evan Kelly-Morris, 21 years old, has been arrested on a charge of Murder in the First Degree in connection with the homicide and remanded to YKCC. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, please contact the Bethel Police Department at (907) 543-3781.
