Maj. (ret) Johnny Evan, who served with the 297th Infantry Battalion, Alaska Army National Guard, is presented the Alaska Legion of Merit by Col. Wayne Don, commander of the 38th Troop Command, during his recognition ceremony at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage on Oct. 19, 2017.
