The Lower Kuskokwim District School Board met on August 19, 2021 for their regular board meeting. All eight board members were in attendance. The Board approved that the Indoors and Outdoors athletic activity practices and in and out of region travel or competition may commence with full school populations with the established LKSD practice and travel mitigation protocols with approval from the school’s ASB for practice, event participation, and travel and local Tribal Council to host events, and travel as amended approved at the April 29, 2021 Board meeting along with the following considerations:
1. Unvaccinated students would not travel outside of the district for extracurricular activities.
2. Coaches and Chaperones will be vaccinated due to close contact with students.
