Live in the present

by Peter Twitchell

I try my best to live in the present, in the moment because that’s all I have in my life – this moment to breathe fresh air, to feel the sun’s warmth on my face.

I treasure all the good memories of my childhood. I had a mom and a dad who loved me and I loved them in return.

Not everyone can earn that title of being called a “mom” or “dad”. These titles and recognitions and characters of a person are earned. As a mom or a dad do we live up to these names? I hope so for the sakes of our children’s health mentally, physically, and spiritually.

We work at 24/7 and 365 days a year with the titles of being a mother and a father. The word “dad” or “mom” is something we earn in life. We become teachers and leaders for our children to follow.

Unfortunately not every man or woman with that title are recognized as a leader. We need to lead our children in what is right and just.

When I turn on the television world dictators with the title of leader for their country are making people suffer. Many leaders are misleading the majority. I feel good leaders are God-centered and also God-fearing.

This is basic in life and we should have that foundation for strength and good leadership.

The Almighty Creator and God in the Bible says in his word that He does not bless countries that do not fear him. The Bible, the Almighty Creator of Heaven and Earth said, “God hates evil.” He also says, He loves people.

As simple people we fail terribly to follow rules. We neglect instruction and follow our own understanding of what’s good.

Whichever way the wind is blowing right or wrong, that is the direction that steers mankind.

Now I am going to live in the present and watch a good football game where rules are adhered to and rules are followed to the letter. Enjoy!
