LifeMed Alaska, an Alaska-based ground and air ambulance service with base locations in Anchorage, Bethel, Dutch Harbor, Fairbanks, Juneau, Palmer and Soldotna, announced it will reach the milestone of 10 Years of service in Alaska on November 1st, 2018.
In celebration of this notable anniversary, LifeMed Alaska will offer media tours of our Anchorage and Palmer facilities November 1st – 10, and regional public open houses at dates and locations to be announced.
LifeMed Alaska media tours in Anchorage and Palmer will include access to our air ambulances (Bell 407 GXP Helicopters, Learjets, and Beechcraft King Air), hangar facilities, and will include presentations by Director of Clinical Services Erik Lewis, flight crews and nurses.

LifeMed Alaska was formed from the merger of LifeGuard Alaska and AeroMed International on November 1, 2008. At the time of the merger, LifeGuard Alaska was owned and operated by Providence Health and Services Alaska and AeroMed International was owned and operated by Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation.
LifeMed Alaska now employs 135 staff at 5 regional bases as well as ground division bases serving Anchorage and the MatSu Valley. LifeMed Alaska provides 24/7 critical care air ambulance services throughout Alaska with full-scope transports for adult, pediatric, neonate and high-risk obstetric patients using an advanced fleet of Learjets, turboprops, and helicopters. LifeMed Alaska offers a family Membership program at a cost of $49 per year that covers out of pocket expenses for medically necessary air or ground transport provided by LifeMed Alaska. LifeMed Alaska medical crews are highly skilled and dedicated to the care and comfort of patients and their families.
