Lady Warriors take 3rd at Spikefest

The Bethel Regional High School Lady Warriors turned in a solid outing this past weekend at the 2019 Wolverine Spikefest in Dillingham. The BRHS girls 3-2 and finished third in the 10-team double-elimination tournament.

The Lady Warriors opened the tournament with a victory over the Dillingham Wolverine junior varsity squad. That victory moved Bethel into a showdown with King Cove, the eventual tournament champion.

Following a loss to King Cove, Bethel battled its way back into the semifinals with a strong effort in the loser’s bracket. The BRHS girls defeated New Stuyahok and Aleknagik en route earning the right to face Dillingham in the semifinals.

The BRHS junior varsity also competed in the tournament, going 1-2 overall.
