Anchorage Christian Schools hosted the Denali Auto Glass Wrestling Invitational. Girls teams from Barrow, Bethel, Chugiak, Colony, Cordova, Dimond, Eagle River, East HS, Eielson, Haines, Homer, Hutchinson, Kenai, Kodiak, Lathrop, Newhalen, Nikiski, Nome, North Pole, Palmer, Petersburg, Redington, Scammon Bay, Service, Seward, Soldotna, South Anch., Student Wrestling Development Program, Valdez, Wasilla, West Valley, and Wrangell participated in the tournament.
Emilie Madson of the Bethel Lady Warriors placed 3rd in the 100 lbs. weight class. Her teammate Constance Albert placed 6th in the same bracket.
Bethel Lady Warrior Hannah Howell also took home the bronze medal, she wrestled in the 126 lbs. weight division. Payton Boney also won 3rd in the 145 lbs. weight class.
Scammon Bay’s Sandra Tunutmoak, 145 lbs., placed 6th.
