The Native Village of Kwinhagak Environmental Department’s Annual Spring Clean-up was from May 30-June 1st. This year 154 participants picked 1,646 full yellow ALPAR bags and 535 miscellaneous/large items; 2,181 altogether for a grand total of $3,827 paid in 2017. It is a 28.8% increase in trash volume compared to 2016. This event wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations from Coastal Villages Region Fund, Native Village of Kwinhagak Charitable Gaming, the City of Kwinhagak, Grant Aviation, Donlin Gold, Qanirtuuq, Incorporated, CRW Engineering, REEL Action Fly Fishing, Duncan and Son’s. ltd., Jurgensmeyer’s Northern Exposure LLC, AVEC, Yarek Nibursky and North Star Gas, AVCP and ALPAR. Thank you all very much for your support, we really appreciate it.
