The Kuskokwim Ice Classic deadline of April 17th at 7pm is quickly approaching, so make sure to get your tickets! Bethel groups are selling during the lunch hour, after work, and on weekends at AC and Swanson’s. Bethel Community Services Foundation (BCSF), Yukon Kuskokwim Fitness Center (YKFC), and Swanson’s are also permanent sales locations, so feel free to swing by any of these locations to buy your tickets. For those of you in other communities, Kalskag, Napaskiak, Aniak, and Hooper Bay youth groups are also selling tickets locally.
Don’t forget the jackpot has been increased from $10,000 to $12,500! It is the largest jackpot in the recent history of the event. Participating youth groups earn half the proceeds from ticket sales, benefitting youth in Bethel as well as participating villages.
For guesses that were not turned in at the time of purchase, drop box locations can be found at BCSF, YKFC, RAVN, Swanson’s, and AC.
Phone sales for people living in locations where tickets are not available can call in their guesses now. Make sure you get your guesses in sooner rather than later, as we’re expecting a high volume of calls as we get closer to the deadline of Monday, April 17th at 7pm.
