AST and WPD responded to a business on Wasilla-Fishhook Road near Seldon Road in Wasilla for the report of a burglary in progress where the suspect fled into the woods on 01/15/23 at 0330 hours. AST K9 “Xavi” tracked the suspect to a near-by residence and AST obtained a search warrant for the property. AST was able to generate a suspect for the burglary and locate evidence of the crime. While searching the property, AST contacted 2 females who had outstanding warrants for their arrest. A female suspect, age 36 of Wasilla, was arrested on a $250 misdemeanor warrant for drug possession. Another suspect, age 31 of Palmer, was arrested on a no bail Theft in the 2nd Degree warrant with time to serve. Investigation continues regarding the burglary, theft, and criminal mischief of the store.
