The Greater Kuskokwim Conference 1A basketball tournament was hosted by the Aniak Halfbreeds, February 27-March 1st. Teams participating for the boys included Aniak, Akiak, Akiachak, and Tuluksak. Girls teams participating were Akiak, Akiachak, Aniak, Kalskag, and Tuluksak.
The Akiachak Huskies boys defeated the Aniak Halfbreeds 66-60 to win the championship. The Aniak Lady Halfbreeds won over the Akiak Lady Thunderbolts. The Akiachak Huskies and the Aniak Lady Thunderbolts will be representing the Greater Kuskokwim Conference at the 2025 State 1A Basketball Championships in Anchorage, March 12-15, 2025.
