KYUK is seeking a News Reporter to cover Alaska’s Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The News Reporter will be responsible for producing multiple news stories per week, hosting newscasts and special programs, and uploading content to the station’s website and social media. Alaska reporting experience and Yup’ik proficiency is preferred but not required. We encourage people from nontraditional backgrounds to apply.
The job averages 40 hours per week with some evening and weekend work. This position reports to the News Director. This position requires living in Bethel, with the option of working from home some of the time. All current full-time staff members are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masks are currently required in shared work spaces.
Salary range is $51,000 to $65,000
The News Reporter position is a salaried, exempt position with health care benefits, paid sick leave, and paid vacation leave. KYUK matches 5% of 403(b) retirement contributions. KYUK observes 16 work holidays throughout the year.
