Employment

AVCP: Program Lease Coordinator

The Association of Village Council Presidents (AVCP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tribal consortium of fifty-six federally recognized tribes. Tucked away between two of Southwest Alaska’s major rivers in an area the size of the State of New York, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is the traditional home of the Yup’ik, Cup’ik, and Athabascan peoples. AVCP is a fast-paced environment, where we value innovative thinking, teamwork, and our traditional Yup’ik and Cup’ik values.

AVCP provides services in the 48 YK-Delta villages, and leases space to accommodate our employees and programs. The Program Lease Coordinator is the primary point of contact for ensuring safe and comfortable workspaces in villages where AVCP provides services. Duties include identifying office space; lease negotiation; coordinating with the Facilities Department to assess all leased locations for maintenance and repair needs; and coordinating the response to facilities emergencies at leased locations.

Applicants should have experience working with tribes, tribal organizations, and/or with state or federal agencies. An Associates or Bachelor’s degree, or two or more years of relevant experience strongly preferred. Training will be provided. Knowledge of Yup’ik or Cup’ik culture and the YK-Delta is preferred.

Applications considered on a rolling basis.

AVCP offers a competitive salary; generous benefits package and retirement plan; and relocation reimbursement. The full job description may be viewed here. To apply, send cover letter and résumé to [email protected] and complete the online application for employment.

Per Public Law 93-638 (Indian Self Determination & Education Assistance Act) qualified American Indians/Alaska Natives are given preference, but candidates from all backgrounds are welcome to apply. (261)(6/9-30)
