Firefighters responded to the report of smoke coming from the girl’s restroom at the Bethel Regional High School on October 16, 2024 at 1:17 p.m. Firefighters observed heavy smoke inside the hallway and entry into the structure was initiated to contain any further fire. Fire was extinguished prior to firefighter arrival with an extinguisher. Ventilation of the structure was performed. One person was reported to have smoke inhalation.
