DUI on Kuskokwim

Alaska State Troopers received a call from a concerned citizen of the village of Napaskiak on 2/23/2019 at about 1625 hours. It was reported a Toyota Tundra truck was stuck in the overflow on the Kuskokwim river, in front of the village. The driver was reported to be passed out behind the wheel. Troopers from Bethel responded via the ice road. Investigation revealed the operator of the vehicle (Peter Sallaffie age 23 of Bethel) was impaired by alcohol. Peter was arrested for DUI. He was remanded to YKCC in Bethel with bail set at $500.
