CVRF partners with Honda to provide snow machine maintenance

Coastal Villages Region Fund (CVRF) and All Seasons Honda are pioneering a unique program to offer dealership-quality snow machine repair and maintenance services at CVRF community service centers (CSCs) located in communities across the region.

CVRF operates 19 CSCs and employs a team of 15 full-time mechanic/welders and 29 part-time mechanic/welders who reside in local CVRF communities. The mechanic/welders employed by CVRF offer low-cost services and expertise, ranging from aluminum boat repairs and small engine repairs to community infrastructure projects and building maintenance.

This new partnership will allow CVRF mechanic/welders to participate in approved, manufacturer training sponsored by the All Seasons Honda team in Homer. For the first time ever, residents of CVRF’s 20 communities in Western Alaska will be able to obtain routine snow machine maintenance without having to send their equipment to a dealership outside of their local area.

“Ultimately, this partnership will provide our member communities with the opportunity to repair without having to air freight equipment back to dealerships,” said CVRF’s Sales and Services Manager, Bob Marquez. “CVRF looks forward to an ongoing partnership with Honda and to continuing to build on the talents and expertise of our mechanic/welder team, for the benefit of the people living in the Y-K Delta.”

Following the training this week, CVRF will be working with its team of mechanic/welders and All Seasons Honda to develop a timeline for when snow machine maintenance will be available in local CVRF communities.
