Council to consider another package store liquor license application

A local business owner has submitted an application for a new package liquor store in Bethel. Steve Chung’s application for the Tundra Liquor Cache is up for council review during the Tuesday, March 14th city council meeting in Bethel.

Alaska’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Board received the application on January 10th, 2017. The proposed location for the Tundra Liquor Cache is at 105 Hoffman Highway. The distance of the shortest pedestrian route from the public entrance to the building of the proposed premises to the outer boundaries of the nearest school grounds is listed as 0.6 miles on the application. The distance to the nearest church building as stated on the application is 0.3 miles.

The Bethel City Council will be considering this item under New Business.
