Council member advocates for park development plan for Kasayuli Sub

Council member Naim Shabani will be introducing an action memorandum at the City of Bethel’s June 27th regular meeting that is aimed at directing administration to begin working on a park development plan for Kasayuli Subdivision.

Action memo 17-42 states that the nearest park is 5 miles away from Kasayuli.

“Even with the current fiscal challenges, the Bethel City Council find(s) importance in investing in our community’s public areas to help promote healthy activity and community togetherness,” it continues. “Administration should bring back to Council an action plan for the development of a park in Kasayuli with a goal of park construction in the summer 2018.”

According to AM 17-42, Kasayuli Subdivision already has property owned by the City that is dedicated to recreational space.
