I applaud the doctors who find cures for various diseases and viruses in the world. I heard doctors on television say the COVID virus can cause heart diseases in us, although we were immunized, down the road. In 2021 a doctor stated the COVID virus can change and cause more problems for our health in the long run.
I admit I was disappointed that the sponsors of the Alaska Federation of Natives convention did not require masks. Elders were saying in the beginning of the Delta 19 COVID virus, “We wear a mask to protect ourselves from the virus, and also to protect you.”
I myself believe we are not out of the woods yet as far as Covid and other viruses are concerned. I asked, why do all the clinics make face masks available for you and me? I believe to protect ourselves from becoming ill.
I also heard on the news you shouldn’t drink tap water because of possible contaminants. Medical ads still tell us to wash our hands at least 20 seconds, sanitize our homes, keep six foot distances between each other, and no kissing.
I wipe down everything I buy from the store and thrift stores. I even wash my vegetables.
