Congressional candidate Alyse Galvin to visit Bethel during Cama-i weekend

Congressional candidate Alyse Galvin, challenging Don Young this fall, will be visiting Bethel during CAMA-I weekend to meet people from across the Delta and hear their concerns.

Armed with energy and a committed team, Alyse Galvin, mother of four and community activist, is traveling across the state making her case to Alaska voters that it’s time for a change. Before announcing her congressional bid, Galvin spent the last four years as a leader of Great Alaska Schools, a grassroots public education advocacy group that worked with student, parents, and communities across the state to fight to protect school funding.

“Too many Alaskans aren’t getting the opportunities they deserve to succeed here in our state. It’s time for new leadership in Washington committed to fighting for better jobs, safer communities, and better education for children in urban and rural areas across Alaska,” said Galvin.

“The economics and social reality of rural Alaska require a Congressional representative who is in step with the needs of people who live there. It’s clear that the agenda of Don Young’s allies in Congress is not rural Alaska’s agenda.”
