Calista urges affected communities to send requests for assistance.
Calista (cha-LIS-tah) Corporation is actively working with local communities, State of Alaska officials and emergency agencies on a statewide coordinated response to the September 2022 storm impacting dozens of Western Alaska communities.
“Our hearts are with our Shareholders and everyone in the communities who have experienced significant loss and will be suffering from the impacts of this storm in the coming weeks. We have been actively communicating with your local leadership as well as the Governor’s Office. Calista and Calista companies stand ready to assist in various ways, such as participating in the coordinated emergency response effort led by the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and also by directing personnel on the ground in affected communities to assist local residents and responders,” said Andrew Guy, Calista Corp. President/CEO.
“This is just the beginning of the response efforts by many organizations including Calista, and we are gathering requests for assistance. We encourage all who are affected by the storm in the Calista Region to communicate their needs directly to the emergency response team at [email protected] and cc: Calista’s Government Relations team at [email protected],” Guy said.
