by Joey Valadez

B.V.E.S.A.’s Annual 8 on 8 Mud Volleyball Tournament is set for Sat, July 20th!

This event is open to the public for anyone 18 years of age or older. This year we are going to allow minors to play as long as you are: 1) At least 16 years of age, 2) Play for your high school Volleyball team, and 3) Can get a parent/guardian to sign the City waiver, then you can play! ALL players must sign a waiver to participate.

This is typically an all day event going from about 11am/noon until approximately 7pm depending how well your team does. This is a true double elimination tournament. The event will start with round robin style matches to determine seeding so every team is guaranteed at least 5 matches or more! No volleyball experience required.

This is a community friendly event and all are welcomed to come watch and support the cause. For up to date info on the event including location, please check out the “Bethel Beach Volleyball” Facebook page. Entry fee for early registration is $20/player or $200/team. After Sunday, July 14th early registration ends and the entry fee goes up to $25/player or $250/team. All proceeds go to B.V.E.S.A.
