Business manager for local airline indicted

On May 14, 2024, Nathan McCabe was indicted on four counts of Scheme to Defraud and one count of Theft in the First Degree by a Bethel Grand Jury.

The indictment stems from allegations that McCabe defrauded Bethel businesses Yute Commuter Service and Riverside Apartments out of over $200,000 over a period of several months. During this time, McCabe was the Business Manager for Paklook Air, Inc. d/b/a Yute Commuter Service, and was also involved in operating Riverside Apartments and Renfro’s Alaska Adventure.

The case was reported to Alaska State Troopers’ Alaska Bureau of Investigations, who investigated the matter. It is being prosecuted by the Office of Special Prosecutions.

The charges are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and are entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. If convicted, McCabe faces a maximum sentence of ten years of imprisonment for each count.
