The recount for Ballot Measure 2: an Act to get rid of the Open Primary System and Ranked-Choice that was on the November 5th 2024 General Election ballot is now complete and the results are unchanged – BM2 did not pass. The recount report was posted by the Alaska Division of Elections in an election summary report dated December 9th, 2024. The Yes votes were 160,230 (49.88%) and the No votes were 160,973 (50.12%). The General Election result are now official and Alaska will maintain its ranked choice voting status.
