Our lives from childhood to adolescence have depended largely on our parents, and other mature adults including our beloved Elders and our teachers who were there for us sixteen years of their lives.
With their help we developed into healthy adults to live and share with others what we have been taught. Many have made wise choices for themselves in their life for a better journey for their loved ones to take and live and breathe.
Their unselfishness has aided us in avoiding the pitfalls of life in our own journey because they were a healthy example to follow. Many others have chosen the life less traveled on to succeed in their own life.
They lived productive and rewarding lives and their children’s lives.
When we were young we lived and breathed fast paced lives, sometimes never stopping to think about what our consequences might be. We’ve all made mistakes which led to unproductive outcomes and regret. Some hardships have stalled us from moving forward.
Our lives moved fast. Soon we were Elders ourselves and then we began to slow down. As Elders our lives came to a halt. Soon we started living life, just one day at a time.
The time clock seemed to cease moving some days and a minute seemed like an eternity. We accepted life as it made itself available to us and we are thankful for each day we were given by the great Spirit of the universe.
Now I savor each minute I am afforded and give thanks daily to Almighty Creator God for all His blessings great and small.
Elders pray for the welfare of people around the world. Elders are grateful for their families and wait for some family members to come around. Elders do not judge others for their short comings. Elders don’t have a mean bone in their body, nor do they hold grudges. They are strong Mentally, Spiritually and have a ready smile for others.
Elders have long inspired me to follow them in their footsteps. May the Good Lord God Almighty Bless them and hold them in His care.
