Bethel Volleyball team plays at Chugiak Invitational

The Bethel Lady Warriors volleyball team traveled to the Chugiak Invitational Volleyball tournament this past weekend. They played 11 games at the event. Teams from Mountain City Christian, Colony, Soldotna, Palmer, West High, Service, Wasilla, Eagle River, Bartlett, and Dimond joined the Chugiak Lady Mustangs host team. The Lady Warriors scored a high of 16 points in pool play in their games with Soldotna, West, and Bartlett. Winning the tournament was Dimond, Wasilla came in second, and Palmer and Soldotna tied for third. Colony and West placed 5^th.

Extreme Biking Ben Kuntz of Bethel and his faithful dog Ruby were out on a fat biking excursion on the frozen Kuskokwim River last Sunday. The big tires of the Surly fat bike make it fun to ride on extreme terrain, such as the snow-covered river.
